Blazer in the Community
Providing high-quality heating and air conditioning service isn’t the only way we strive to be a good neighbor in the Richmond area. Building meaningful connections and giving back to the community is as important as any business plan component.
With so many worthwhile organizations in the area, we encourage everyone to find one that resonates with them. At Blazer Heating, Air, and Plumbing, we currently focus on two areas:
- Providing affordable homes for those who need a hand up not a handout
- Creating more opportunities for our youth to develop leadership and problem-solving skills through athletics and activities
We give our time and resources to the following community organizations:
Habitat for Humanity helps bring comfort to West Point family

Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity
Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity provides hardworking families an affordable home. It is proven that homeownership has a significant impact on net worth, educational achievement, civic participation, health, and overall quality of life. We agree that affordable and responsible homeownership builds brighter futures, stronger families, and a stronger community.
Hanover High School Hawks Athletic Boosters
Hanover High School Hawks Athletic Boosters supports the boys, girls, and coed sports programs throughout the school year: hockey, football, track, soccer, volleyball, golf, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, lacrosse, softball, baseball, and more. The boosters club also backs activities like DECA, theatre, band, chorus, orchestra, and winter guard.
Atlee Raiders High School Athletic Boosters
About 10 miles south of Hanover are our friends in Atlee. Much like our support in Hanover, we back the Atlee Raiders High School Athletics programs: cross country, volleyball, golf, field hockey, cheerleading, football, basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, track, baseball, swimming, soccer, and more. The Boosters Club supplements resources for student-athletes in boys, girls, and coed activities. The Boosters Club also awards scholarships to eligible and deserving student-athletes.
Mechanicsville High School Athletic Boosters
Mechanicsville High School Athletic Boosters provide more than football helmets. Boosters of Mechanicsville High School athletic programs have raised more than $2,000 annually for seniors to continue their education. Boosters also provide important funds to maintain the athletic fields, improve the weight room, offset the costs of team uniforms, support paying game officials, and much more.
Mechanicsville Little League
Mechanicsville Little League has been providing the boys and girls of our community with the opportunity to enjoy baseball and softball for over 50 years. We support their mission to foster an environment where children can learn the values of teamwork and the results of hard work while facing the challenges of competition. They operate 10 lighted fields, 4 batting cages, and a concession stand. The league relies on sponsorships as they receive no financial support from Hanover County or other entities.
Atlee Little League
The mission of Atlee Little League has been to instill five values in the area’s children:
- Good Sportsmanship
- Honesty
- Loyalty
- Courage
- Respect for Authority
We also believe that children can learn lifelong lessons through participation in sports and other extracurricular activities. Through teamwork, winning, and losing, these young people can become stronger and happier children that become well-adjusted adults.
Atlee Recreation Association & Atlee Gators Swim Team
The Atlee Recreation Association has been the home of the Atlee Gators swim team since 1975, competing in the Greater Richmond Aquatic League. Any ARA member between the ages of 5 and 18 is eligible to join the Atlee Gators. The Atlee pool also offers Bitty Gators and Adult Morning Swim programs.
